About Desktop Art Fair

Desktop Art Fair 2018, formerly known as "Too Cool for Gallery", was held in the West Five Art Centre in 2017. 

As a special unit of abC Art Book Fair, this 2018 Desktop Art Expo is jointly convened by Xiwu Art Centre and Yang Gallery, C Longkou Space, Space Station, Shiwan Space, Tabula Rasa Gallery, Tong Gallery + Project S, Star Space, West Five Art Centre, Yang Gallery, and eight art institutions in Beijing participated together. 

Compared with traditional easels or walls, the desktop is a functional space for daily work and activities, with shared, temporary nature and multiple functions. Different from the usual separation space and wall-based settings of the Art Fair, the display mode of the desktop is flexible, and the specificity of the venue can be realised anytime and anywhere. The desktop art fair is generated to meet the needs of the gallery in the digital era. The limited display conditions challenge the wisdom of the participants. While exploring the new display aesthetics, it enriches the way of viewing the exhibition of the art fair and opens a new collection experience and mode in the digital era.
