Night Rover

At night, we stay in a space of our own, either indoor or outdoor, with our thoughts free and drifting away. We are taken to places we’ve thought about or not imagined before, where there is no disturbance and they are solely our own. We always try to verbalize ourselves and the world we live in. Bacon’s Reece Mews in South Kensington, London; Morandi’s Campiaro in Grizzana, Italy; Munch in the Norwegian woods and by the seaside; Wittgenstein’s cottage in Switzerland’s mountains... Nights are everlasting freedom.

Paolo Valer once wrote: “Every silent atom will see a moment of ripening!” The woods and streams in mountains are the convergence of time, but they stay for us. The objects stand silently in the room, as if they are monuments in the wilderness, and we talk to them. The sacrifice made by some poets becomes an extension in time; the words we have not spoken are given a result by fate. Every day and night, I open my eyes, stare at the lights on the ceiling and tell myself: “Either live or die, we're here to stay.” We’ve been fighting against our only enemy in our lifetime - everyone dies. Everything is fleeting, faraway yet quiet. I stay among them and everything is as I see.

Christmas, also known as Christmas, is translated as "Christ Mass". It originated from the ancient Romans' Day of Agriculture to welcome the New Year and has nothing to do with Christianity. After Christianity prevailed in the Roman Empire, the Holy See went with the tide to integrate this folk festival into the Christian system, while celebrating the birth of Jesus. Wu Yi created a series of Christmas works during his stay in Prague in 2013.

Kyoto has been designated as the capital of Japan since 794. At that time, it was called Heiankyo. Due to the influence of China, Chu Ping'anjing was modeled after Chang'an, the capital of the Tang Dynasty. The north of the city was the imperial city and the palace city, and the south of the city was Guocheng. Waiguo City is divided into two parts: "Chang'an" (West Capital) on the west side and "Luoyang" (East Capital) on the east side. The current Qianbentong is equivalent to the Zhuque Road in Chang'an at that time. At that time, temples, private houses, streets and customs in Kyoto are still the same as before, in which you can feel the former appearance of China...

My creation began with the "Landscape in the Box" and depicted abstract things collected by consciousness, such as memories, concepts, etc., which triggered a series of thoughts about the box. The things in the box are intriguing. The box creates a space, boundaries and restrictions, in which things are closed and isolated from the outside world, carefully collected and carefully cared for. It is a small fragment, which happens to be noticed, collected and cared for by collectors, like a fixed moment, or a metaphor for a complete story. The box itself is also very interesting. It not only isolates the things in the box, but also implies its connection with the outside world. Texture, texture, size, label, number - what the collector thinks of the collection in the box can find clues in these features.
