The work of the giant was in 2019, when Shanghai entered the autumn. On that day, Zhou Yilun recommended me to see an exhibition "Giant Park". The place was in the space of a design studio. The exhibition was very attentive. At that time, I felt surrounded by a kind of childish sneer. When I went back to Beijing to meet each other, I was speechless and childish, which was my first impression of the giant. In her work, it is full of daily descriptions of "nothing new under the sun", but it is touching.

This year's Beijing Contemporary Art Fair presents more than 30 works of giants, including ceramics, paper and oil paintings, spanning from 2016 to the present. Among them, there is a small oil painting called "Field of Hope" that I like very much, so I have this personal project. These seven-year-old works seem to be introverted, but to some extent they laugh at an idealised and untimely situation.

"The works are mostly about daily life, daily moments, the obscure parts of daily life, and the abrupt feelings. What is said is a theme that can be sorted out into the language, but since it is a painting, it is nothing more than the picture itself. I don't know how to say it. How to reflect what you want on the picture are all specific problems." The giant said.

"Carving Tree" was painted in 2020. A back is recklessly portrayed in front of the trunk, which means "travel here". Very similar human behaviour can be seen on stones, trees, beaches, and scenic spots all over the world, but sometimes you can't fully understand, even some semantically ambiguous, identify vague lines, and can't guess why people do this. This inexplicable part makes me think about it.

"Perfect Home" has two similar pictures, such as the shape of a house made of building blocks. Obviously, "perfect" is the same as all the flawless words we will say in the closed sense of security. Can there really be a "perfect home" and "bright future" in front of the empty?

I can't fully understand the appearance of the world and show my direct feelings. Maybe this is the power and charm of the giant works.
