This is not another usual group exhibition that attempts to capture a prevailing trend in the art market or to illuminate few deafening catchphrases in the art theoretical discourse.

In this exhibition, the eight painters/artists will attempt to take the initiative to interpret and dissect the thoughts and concerns behind their own work. This will be an experiment that takes them outside the familiar territories of their primary means of artistic expression. In this project a painting's role of merely salable and enjoyable object gives way to another, in which a painting may be acting as a ground, a field of operation, an element and/or a target of a thought-process all severing the purpose of self-interpretation and reinterpretation. Instead of searching for a solidified and definitive concept or answer, these eight artists are more attracted to the infinite possibilities embodied by the fluidity, flexibility and complexity of thoughts in both the art creative and interpretive processes.

This exhibition allows these eight artists to take a small step outside their creative comfort zone. It provides them the opportunity to experience some thing uncertain, unpredictable and unexpected.
