Tong Gallery+Projects is honoured to announce that 24 abstract oil paintings of lyric abstract painter Jin Geng will be exhibited in Beijing for the first time from December 19, 2020 to February 5, 2021. The exhibition is planned by curator Zhou Tong.

Jin Geng has loved painting and literature since he was a child. When he was young, he was a famous hazy poet in Hangzhou. He was also one of the first cultural people in China to set up a gallery and specialise in art operation and promotion. Decades of artistic experience have given him an extremely broad cultural vision and keen artistic intuition. In the past four or five years, he regained his brushwork and tried to use abstract pen and ink to show his inner research and perception of Chinese poetry, natural landscape, literati's retreat, narrative of culture, and so on. His works come from the tradition of Chinese painting, implying the legality of oriental aesthetics, and absorbing the essence of Western abstract art. The spirit of literati painting and modern painting imagery are both important, and Taoist weapons are also important. Through the writing of the canvas, Jin Geng expressed his thoughts after years of precipitation in the art market, and shaped a unique oriental poetry under the infiltration of the breath of the south of the Yangtze River.

The exhibition will open at 3 p.m. on December 19, 2020. We look forward to your visit to Tong Galley+Projects to see the sincere new work created by Jin Geng from 2019 to 2020.
