Tong Gallery+Projects is honored to announce that online group exhibition Icy Blue Tart Sweet will be open from Aug 1st, 2021 to Aug 31st, 2021. People have all kinds of memories about summer: the cicadas, the heat, iced watermelon, splashes in the swimming pool, holding hands to take a walk at night, and the dripping rain on the eaves.

Somehow, there seems to be more rain this year. In the summer of COVID-19 freedom, the rainstorm is pushing people to another cliff. What role can art play in the face of disaster? Is it to bring hope? To raise funds? Or to record facts and archive memories? Artists have their own answers. But one thing is for sure, be it confusion or sadness, we have to embrace it and let the pain become the nutrient of our body and live with it.

Until one day, we can look back and say, that summer was really bittersweet.
